Some people like bird watching. I prefer to watch fairies.
This is because we are rather short on bird life here in the North Pole and because I am a nice, kind pussycat who is a friend of fairies. It is not because I want to eat them. Or run after them. Or play with them. Or creep up on them, then jump out and frighten their little fairy socks off. No, no, not a bit of it! All I want is to watch them fly around and make a note of how many different kinds there, what colours they are,
how delicious they are and how big or small they are, exactly as bird watchers do.
